Black-necked stilt chick -Patty McGann

Late summer is when the shorebirds arrive from their arctic breeding grounds, filling up our mudflats and wetlands, amazing us with their swirling flocks, graceful necks and legs, and ridiculously long bills. Join us on Sunday, August 12th from 10-10:45 AM for a free in-store seminar on how to find, identify, and appreciate all those wonderful names: sandpiper, plover, willet, godwit, curlew, and more. We’ll be covering the 23 species regularly seen in Northeast Marin and sharing our inside tips on the best local sites for shorebird watching.

This free presentation at Wild Birds Unlimited of Novato will begin at 10 AM on Sunday, August 12th and last about 45 minutes, with time for questions afterwards. If you would like to attend, please reserve your space by choosing your number of attendees and clicking “Confirm RSVP” above.
